Obama's first job was with ACORN. He trained people for ACORN. He represented ACORN in court cases. His campaign gave ACORN (Project Vote) $800,000 to stuff the ballot boxes for him. That's why he punted when the corruption question came up.

Quoting Rush Limbaugh, "Obama is ACORN. ACORN is Obama." There's no separating the two. There are also ties between ACORN and the SEIU and the NEA. More on that in future posts. The rotten ACORN scandal should be a millstone around the necks of Obama, the Democrat leadership, and the Matrix (MSM).

During King Hussein's media blitz, ACORN came up. From ABC:

STEPHANOPOULOS: Congress said they should cut off all funding for ACORN. Are you for that?

OBAMA: You know, it's -- frankly it's not really something I've followed closely. I didn't even know that ACORN was getting, uh, uh, a whole lot of federal money.

STEPHANOPOULOS: But the Senate and the House have voted to cut it off.

OBAMA: Yeah, what I know is what I saw on that video was certainly inappropriate, and deserves to be --

STEPHANOPOULOS: So you're not committing to cut off the federal funding?

OBAMA: George, this is not the biggest issue facing the country. It's not something I'm paying a lot of attention to.

That's pure horse manure. Remember: During the campaign Obama gave $800,000 to ACORN to stuff the ballot box for him. You don't invest that much money and not pay close attention. You want a return on your investment. King Hussein can't throw ACORN under the bus because he's in too deep with them.

It's a shame to have to call the President of the United States a liar, but I have to call it like I see it. ACORN is a criminal organization that corrupts everyone and everything it touches. King Hussein's Tiresome Overexposure

By now you know that King Hussein is going to be on all the Sunday shows and Letterman on Monday to boost support for Obamacare and his lagging approval ratings. I can't see this happening for a number of reasons. First, the ratings for his speeches have been on a steady decline. Second, Rassmussen reported that 56% disapprove of Obamacare, a new high water mark. Prediction: The Sunday shows already abysmal ratings will be even more so with King Hussein's appearances.

There's another huge problem for King Hussein that few have mentioned: Obama hasn't reveled a plan for public display. There's no website or bill in congress with his signature on it. There's only the bills that have been drawn up in the House and Senate. More Americans are fighting those with each passing day.

Obama is overexposed. I was at Whole Foods Friday night. What did I see at the checkout counter? Obama on the cover of Men's health Magazine. Yes, Team Obama bristles when the word "overexposed" is mentioned, but look at what King Hussein said on this subject:

OBAMA: I'm so overexposed, I'm making Paris Hilton look like a recluse.

Today that would be Taylor Swift or Kanye West. That quote was during the campaign. How much more is this statement true with all the press coverage, interviews, and magazine covers? The more he talks, the more people tune him out, and the more likely Americans will see his lies and kill Obamacare.

Actions have consequences. The ACORN situation is no exception. One consequence is the Senate's vote to defund ACORN. Now it's the House's turn. By a 345-75 tally, the House voted to cut all federal funding for ACORN. Three no votes of worthy mention were Jesse Jackson Jr., Bobby Rush, and Jan Schakowsky. You can always count on a Chicago Democrat to vote to continue funding corruption and criminal activity.

Robbers Pose As Obamacare Supporters

Robbery has hit a new low. People posing as Obamacare supporters wearing madical outfits. Taking money and shooting residents. I already know that Obamacare would take money from Americans, but this is too extreme. These are the worse kind of con-artists.

"They were well-dressed when they knocked on the door of a Huntington home last month and said they had information about President Barack Obama’s health care plan.

That’s how they got inside to commit a violent home invasion on Aug. 29, a Suffolk prosecutor said Monday.

Benjamin Thompson had a stethoscope around his neck and Natalie Desir carried a clipboard with pamphlets, Assistant District Attorney Glenn Kurtzrock said after their arraignments in Riverhead.

A woman who lives at the house answered the door and said she would take one of the pamphlets. That’s when Thompson, 31, of Brooklyn and Desir, 26, of Nyack forced their way inside, Kurtzrock said.

He gave the following account:

Another man, Vance Jackson, had been hiding outside and also forced his way into the home. Jackson, 46, of Yonkers took the woman’s boyfriend upstairs and shot him in the neck, chased him downstairs and shot him several more times.

Thompson shot the female resident in the foot while she was sitting next to her 2-year-old daughter and also pistol-whipped the woman’s mother, injuring her head.

The three fled with about $4,000 in cash in a getaway car driven by Theodore Briggs, 40, of the Bronx. A fifth suspect who was outside is still at large."

The ACORN employee brags about her political connections, being in the prostitution game and not get caught, and she bragged about killing her ex-husband. What a sweetheart. She even went so far as to threaten other people to keep the prostitution ring on the down low. These ACORN redshirts are absolute scum.

In light of the prostitution scandals, the U.S. Senate has voted to defund ACORN Housing by an 83-7 margin. Here are the seven leftists who voted no:

I stand corrected. It went so nice they did it thrice. James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles have more incriminating video, courtesy of an ACORN office in the Big Apple. Again the staff was very helpful, giving advice on how to set up bank accounts and make deposits.

Bottom line, these videos prove that ACORN is consistent with what they do. This is why O'Keefe used Alinsky rule #10: “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign.” (HT Big Government):

Debunking Obamacare Myths

Now that congress is back in session, Democrats are once again pushing government health care. King Hussein said in a NY Slimes op-ed that only his plan can provide "coverage that will stay with you whether you move, change your job or lose your job".

Many Americans are concerned about this since over three million jobs have been lost since King Hussein's election. As a side note, people want jobs more than health care changes, that's why the polling data is where it is. The reason Americans can't keep or obtain health insurance if they move or lose their jobs is because of government.

Even if you move or lose your job, you can still purchase auto and home insurance. Federal tax incentives have created a system where currently, the majority of people get health insurance through their employers. Then the tax code punishes people who don't get their health insurance through an employer by denying individuals the tax deduction for health insurance that their employers get.

Next, you have state governments who have to approve insurance companies to do business in their states, with their mile long list of mandates. If Democrats really want reform, they could simply lift the government controls and allow health insurance competition across state lines. They don't have to wait until 2013 to implement this.

A second myth that needs to be debunked is that Obamacare will not cover abortions or illegal immigrants. This needs to be addressed because you have Democrats like Howard Dean and Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), carrying Obama's water on TV angrily shouting that these are right-wing lies. With liberals, you usually find that the opposite of what they say is true. Ann Coulter really breaks this one down. From her post on September 9th:

"Then why did Democrats vote down amendments that would prohibit coverage for illegals and abortion? (Also, why is Planned Parenthood collecting petition signatures in Manhattan -- where they think they have no reason to be sneaky -- in support of national health care?)

"On July 30 of this year, a House committee voted against a Republican amendment offered by Rep. Nathan Deal that would have required health care providers to use the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) Program to prevent illegal aliens from receiving government health care services. All Republicans and five Democrats voted for it, but 29 Democrats voted against it, killing the amendment.

On the same day, the committee voted 30-29 against an amendment offered by Republican Joe Pitts explicitly stating that government health care would not cover abortions. Zealous abortion supporter Henry Waxman -- a walking, breathing argument for abortion if ever there was one -- originally voted in favor of the Pitts amendment because that allowed him, in a sleazy parliamentary trick, to bring the amendment up for reconsideration later. Which he did -- as soon as he had enough Democrats in the hearing room to safely reject it.

If any liberal sincerely believes that national health care will not cover illegals and abortion, how do they explain the Democrats frantically opposing amendments that would make this explicit?"

Another question to ask is why are we rushing this if it doesn't go into effect until 2013? If this is so important, it should go into effect on January 1 2010. None of this adds up. Until DC can come up with a health care plan that will make real impact, like tort reform, there's no way I can support anything that's currently sitting in congress. (HT Ann Coulter):

I ask this question because The White House, Congressional Democrats, and Health Care For America Now leftists are spreading health care half-truth sob stories to sell a government takeover. There's one health care horror story you won’t hear the Obamas promoting. It’s one that features poor, minority patient-dumping in Chicago — with First Lady Michelle Obama at the center of it. "Both Republican Sen. Charles Grassley of Iowa and Democrat Rep. Bobby Rush of Chicago have raised red flags about the outsourcing program, run by the University of Chicago Medical Center. The hospital has non-profit status and receives lucrative tax breaks in exchange for providing charity care. Yet, it spent a measly $10 million on charity care for the poor in fiscal 2007 when Mrs. Obama was employed there—1.3 percent of its total hospital expenses, according to an analysis performed for The Washington Post by the non-partisan Center for Tax and Budget Accountability. The figure is below the 2.1 percent average for nonprofit hospitals in surrounding Cook County.

Rep. Rush called for a House investigation in response to months of patient-dumping complaints, noting: “Congress has a duty to expend its power to mitigate and prevent this despicable practice from continuing in centers that receive federal funds.”

Don’t expect the president to support a probe. While a top executive at the hospital, Mrs. Obama helped engineer the plan to offload low-income patients with non-urgent health needs. Under the Orwellian banner of an “Urban Health Initiative,” Mrs. Obama sold the scheme to outsource low-income care to other facilities as a way to “dramatically improve health care for thousands of South Side residents.” The program guaranteed “free” shuttle rides to and from the outside clinics.

In truth, it was old-fashioned cost-cutting and favor-trading repackaged as minority aid. Clearing out the poor freed up room for insured (i.e., more lucrative) patients. If a Republican had proposed the very same program and recruited black civic leaders to front it, Michelle Obama and her grievance-mongering friends would be screaming “RAAAAAAAAACISM!” at the top of their lungs.

Joe Stephens of the Washington Post wrote: “To ensure community support, Michelle Obama and others in late 2006 recommended that the hospital hire the firm of David Axelrod, who a few months later became the chief strategist for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. Axelrod’s firm recommended an aggressive promotional effort modeled on a political campaign—appoint a campaign manager, conduct focus groups, target messages to specific constituencies, then recruit religious leaders and other third-party ‘validators.’ They, in turn, would write and submit opinion pieces to Chicago publications.”

Some health care experts saw through Mrs. Obama and her public relations man, David Axelrod—yes, the same David Axelrod who is now Mr. Obama’s senior adviser at the White House. The University of Chicago Medical Center hired Axelrod’s public relations firm, ASK Public Strategies, to promote Mrs. Obama’s Urban Health Initiative. Axelrod had the blessing of Chicago political guru Valerie Jarrett – now White House senior adviser.

Axelrod’s great contribution: Re-branding! His firm recommended re-naming the initiative after “[i]nternal and external respondents expressed the opinion that the word ‘urban’ is code for ‘black’ or ‘black and poor’….Based on the research, consideration should be given to re-branding the initiative.” Axelrod and the Obama campaign refused to disclose how much his firm received for its genius re-branding services.

In February 2009, outrage in the Obamas’ community exploded after a young boy covered by Medicaid was turned away from the University of Chicago Medical Center. Dontae Adams’ mother, Angela, had sought emergency treatment for him after a pit bull tore off his upper lip. Mrs. Obama’s hospital gave the boy a tetanus shot, antibiotics, and Tylenol and shoved him out the door. The mother and son took an hour-long bus ride to another hospital for surgery.

I’ll guarantee you this: You’ll never see the Adams family featured at an Obama policy summit or seated next to the First Lady at a joint session of Congress to illustrate the failures of the health care system.

Following the Adams incident, the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) blasted Mrs. Obama and Mr. Axelrod’s grand plan. The group released a statement expressing “grave concerns that the University of Chicago’s policy toward emergency patients is dangerously close to ‘patient dumping,’ a practice made illegal by the Emergency Medical Labor and Treatment Act (EMTALA)” – signed by President Reagan, by the way – “and reflected an effort to ‘cherry pick’ wealthy patients over poor.”

Rewarding political cronies at the expense of the poor while posing as guardians of the downtrodden? Welcome to Obamacare."

I've said this before and it bears repeating: With the federal government already bungling, Social Security, Medicare, The Post Office, Amtrak, and Cash For Clunkers, do you really want them over health care? I certainly do not. (HT Michelle Malkin):

What King Hussein Really Wants To Say

As you are no doubt aware, King Hussein gave another speech on healthcare in an attempt to boost poll numbers for himself and Obamacare. However, his biggest problem is like many before him, he can't say what he wants because he'll get ran out of DC.

Rush Limbaugh tackles this dilemma. Based on events and ideology, this is how the speech should have gone. First on healthcare:

"By cutting waste, fraud, and abuse in Medicare -- which of course is a government-run entitlement program -- we'll be able to fund expanded health care without waste, fraud, and abuse. And of course we support Medicare. It's the Republicans who hate Medicare. We're only cutting over $500 billion from the already bankrupt program because there are other people, apart from our seniors, who need health care, too. Everyone has to sacrifice, particularly mom and dad, granddad, grandmom. But they won't mind. That doesn't mean, of course, we're going to ration care. We would never do that. We love our seniors.

"These are scare tactics by the special interests who always oppose reform. No, we're going to cut Medicare because we support Medicare, and we're going to cut benefits to seniors because we love our seniors. And what's all this talk about the government taking over health care? More fearmongering by the special interests! No, what's going to happen is that we will oversee the insurance companies to make sure they don't cheat and rip you off. That's right. The same politicians and bureaucracy that stole trillions from the Social Security trust fund to pay for ever more spending -- and the same politicians and bureaucracy that stole trillions of dollars from the Medicare trust fund -- will use their carefully honed skills and experience to ensure that the private insurance companies treat you fairly."

On The Economy:

"We want to increase competition by destroying it. We want to grow jobs by killing employment. Our stimulus recovery is going just as planned. Real unemployment is now at 16.8% and rising. This is how we save the economy from the brink: By killing jobs, killing home ownership, and killing private property; by creating trillions and trillions and trillions of dollars in new debt. This is how we will create a stable dollar, a prosperous economy. This is how we will grow businesses, increase home ownership and so forth. And if we don't it's Bush's fault anyway because I inherited all this! So don't you understand? I'm in the process of destroying your country. I don't like it at all. I don't like this Constitution. It wasn't written for me. I never had a chance to vote for it. I've been saddled with it and my people, saddled with it and my party's been saddled with it and we hate this Constitution!"

On The Constitution:

"This Constitution doesn't tell us what we can do to you. All this Constitution tells us is what we can't do to you, and we want the Constitution to tell us what we can do. Not only to you but for you. I don't like this at all. And I haven't liked it and my college professors haven't liked it and my parents didn't like it and none of my friends liked it. Bill Ayers didn't like the Constitution. Jeremiah Wright doesn't like the Constitution. My gang at ACORN doesn't like the Constitution, and I'm gonna fix it -- and I'm doing it right in front of your eyes while I'm telling you the opposite of what I'm doing. I'm destroying your economy. I am foreclosing on your house. I have taken over two of the three big automobile companies. I'm going to make sure you can't eventually drive the car you want. And I'm doing all this to restore the economy so that we never have a down cycle like this. I'm doing all this to save the planet from climate change."

It went so nice, that it was done twice. James O'Keefe and Hannah Miles have more incriminating video, this time from the Washington, DC office. So much for the "false ACORN line that “[t]his film crew tried to pull this sham at other offices and failed.” Ditto for the "isolated incident" in one office with a couple bad employees excuse. They can whine like Van Jones and cry setup, but that won't fly here. The video catches them red-handed in criminal behavior. Here's part of the transcript:

O'KEEFE: My partner is a -- she's -- she's in a unique line of business, and I don't know if you allow --

ACORN LADY: Unique line of business. What are you saying? If you don't tell us, we can't help you.

O'KEEFE: My girlfriend is a prostitute.

ACORN LADY: Okay.

O'KEEFE: And I don't know if --

ACORN LADY: I kind of figured that.

O'KEEFE: I can be the one, basically put up the house for it, and then she can perform tricks in the house.

Like the Baltimore office, these folks at the DC office were very willing to help them out. Sick, sick puppies, these ACORN redshirts. Reports are out that ACORN employees were fired from both the Baltimore and DC offices because of the video. It's a start, but not nearly enough. Investigations at the state and federal levels need to be conducted. ACORN should not receive one cent of taxpayer money until this is resolved.

Anyone who reads this blog regularly knows how critical I am of ACORN. They campaigned hard to stuff the ballot boxes for King Hussein in November. Since then they've expanded their horizons.

James O'Keefe and his associate Hannah Miles, posed as a pimp and a prostitute for a visit to an ACORN office in Baltimore, MD. In doing so they used the following Alinsky principle: “The only way to upset the power structure in your communities is to goad them, confuse them, irritate them and, most of all, make them live by their own rules. If you make them live by their own rules, you destroy them.” Impossible demands can irritate modern leftists in ways nothing else can, whether it’s by banning Lucky Charms cereal because it’s racist against Irish people, calling Planned Parenthood saying you want to donate money for black abortions in the name of Margaret Sanger, or making Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-ME) sign an oversized bailout check for a billion dollars to Amtrak, in her own office."

I love this concept because it uses Alinsky tactics against the Alinsky disciples. Absolutely delicious. The following transcript features an ACORN employee advising O'Keefe and Kenya on how to hide a prostitution business:

ACORN LADY: Let me make sure there's a code for it, okay?

O'KEEFE: A code for prostitution?

ACORN LADY: We're going to have to name it something else. We can do this. How about if you want to do that, okay, they got "other amusements" and "recreational services."

O'KEEFE: She knows her stuff because she was saying that what we can do is classify this not as prostitution --

ACORN LADY: Exactly.

O'KEEFE: -- but as recreation?

KENYA: No, no performing arts.

O'KEEFE: What was it called?

KENYA: Performing arts.

ACORN LADY: If anyone asks you, your business is a performing artist.

KENYA: A performing artist.

ACORN LADY: Which you are, okay, so you're not lying.

So on top of racketeering, extortion, and voter fraud they engage in whitewashing prostitution too. They're all about disruption and chaos just for the sake of it. It's all about overturning the system. ACORN redshirts are full-bred radical leftists. O'Keefe's right when he says they're just anti-status quo and they'll do anything to bust it up. Angry, all bent out of shape. Here's more transcript showing ACORN employees advising this couple on how to use underage prostitutes as dependents for tax write-offs:

O'KEEFE: There's another variable here that we should talk to you about which might complicate our taxes. We got a couple girls overseas coming over, you know what I mean.

ACORN LADY: Hm-hm.

O'KEEFE: And they're very young, and we don't want to -- we don't want to put them on the -- on the books.

KENYA: They're kind of dependents.

O'KEEFE: They're from El Salvador.

ACORN LADY: Okay.

O'KEEFE: There's like 13 of them.

ACORN LADY: You can use them as a dependent, because they live in your house, especially if they're under 16.

O'KEEFE: Okay.

ACORN LADY: You're taking care of them.

O'KEEFE: Yeah.

ACORN LADY: So you can use them as a dependent.

O'KEEFE: What if they're making money because they're performing tricks too.

ACORN LADY: If they're making money and they're underage, you shouldn't let nobody know anyway. (laughing)

O'KEEFE: What?

KENYA: That's true.

ACORN LADY: You shouldn't be letting anyone know anyway. (child yelling in background) You can list them on your taxes as dependents to help lower your rate.

These folks at ACORN are sick puppies, plain and simple. Go to Big Government, bookmark it, download the video, and pass it to your friends. People need to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the redshirts at ACORN are as corrupt as they come, and these are the people that King Hussein rolls with, and funds them with YOUR TAX DOLLARS. The Issue That Won't Go Away: King Hussein's Birth

Another case that challenges Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president has reared its head. A California judge today tentatively scheduled a trial for Jan. 26, 2010. From WesternJournalism.com, "If the case actually goes to arguments before U.S. District Judge David Carter, it will be the first time the merits of the dispute have been argued in open court, according to one of the attorneys working on the issue."

However, from World Net Daily, "the judge did not immediately rule on Taitz' motion to be granted discovery – that is the right to see the president's still-concealed records. Nor did Carter rule immediately on a motion to dismiss the case, submitted by the U.S. government, following discussion over Taitz' challenge to the work of a magistrate in the case.

The judge did comment that if there are legitimate constitutional questions regarding Obama's eligibility, they need to be addressed and resolved. Carter ordered a hearing Oct. 5 on the motion to dismiss and ordered arguments submitted on the issue of discovery. If the case survives that challenge, a pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 11 and the trial for two weeks later.

The suit alleges Obama is actually a citizen of Indonesia and "possibly still citizen of Kenya, usurping the position of the president of the United States of America and the commander-in-chief." WND has reported on dozens of legal challenges to Obama's status as a "natural born citizen." The Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, states, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President."

Some of the lawsuits question whether he was actually born in Hawaii, as he insists. If he was born out of the country, Obama's American mother, the suits contend, was too young at the time of his birth to confer American citizenship to her son under the law at the time.

Other challenges have focused on Obama's citizenship through his father, a Kenyan subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of his birth, thus making him a dual citizen. The cases contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born.

Complicating the situation is Obama's decision to spend sums estimated over $1 million to avoid releasing a state birth certificate that would put to rest the questions.

WND has reported that among the documentation not yet available for Obama includes his kindergarten records, Punahou school records, Occidental College records, Columbia University records, Columbia thesis, Harvard Law School records, Harvard Law Review articles, scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, passport, medical records, files from his years as an Illinois state senator, his Illinois State Bar Association records, any baptism records, and his adoption records."

King Hussein has gone to great lengths to keep his birth certificate and the documentation mentioned above, hidden from public view. He definitely has something to hide.

If it is indeed confirmed that King Hussein is not a natural born citizen, then he needs to be impeached, and removed from the White House IMMEDIATELY. Do not pass Go, do not collect $200. (HT Westernjournalism.com & World Net Daily):

President Barack Alinsky

Saul Alinsky is one of King Hussein's biggest mentors. From the NRO:

Ryan Lizza wrote a 6,500-word piece on Alinsky’s influence on Obama for The New Republic, noting, “On his campaign website, one can find a photo of Obama in a classroom teaching students Alinskian methods. He stands in front of a blackboard on which he has written ‘Relationships Built on Self Interest,’ an idea illustrated by a diagram of the flow of money from corporations to the mayor.”

In a letter to the Boston Globe, Alinsky’s son wrote that “the Democratic National Convention had all the elements of the perfectly organized event, Saul Alinsky style. . . . Barack Obama’s training in Chicago by the great community organizers is showing its effectiveness. It is an amazingly powerful format, and the method of my late father always works to get the message out and get the supporters on board. When executed meticulously and thoughtfully, it is a powerful strategy for initiating change and making it really happen. Obama learned his lesson well.”

This is a ringing endorsement for Obama, straight from the source! Obama, like his zealots are Alinskyites. Here's more proof:

One of Alinsky’s first lessons is: “Radicals must have a degree of control over the flow of events.” Setting aside the Right’s habitual complaint about the pliant liberal media, Obama has dominated the news by unveiling a new initiative or giving a major speech on almost every weekday of his presidency. There has been a steady stream of lighter stories as well — the puppy, Michelle Obama’s fashion sense, the White House swing set, the president and vice president’s burger lunch."

As much as he's in the media, he should have his own cable channel. That way the Obamabots can watch and tivo it 24/7, and leave the rest of us alone. Looking at the past and the future:

"But Obama quickly ignored that pledge when Senator McCain indicated he was willing to restrict himself to the public-financing system. Obama audaciously claimed that his donors had created a “parallel public-financing system” and announced his changed position at a fundraising dinner.

Moderates thought they were electing a moderate; liberals thought they were electing a liberal. Both camps were wrong. Ideology does not have the final say in Obama’s decision-making; an Alinskyite’s core principle is to take any action that expands his power and to avoid any action that risks his power.

As conservatives size up their new foe, they ought to remember: It’s not about liberalism. It’s about power. Obama will jettison anything that costs him power, and do anything that enhances it — including invite Rick Warren to give the benediction at his inauguration, dine with conservative columnists, and dismiss an appointee at the White House Military Office to ensure the perception of accountability.

Alinsky’s influence goes well beyond Obama, obviously. There are many wonderful Democrats in this world, but evidence suggests that rising in that party’s political hierarchy requires some adoption of a variation of the Alinsky philosophy: Power comes first. Few Democrats are expressing outrage over Nancy Pelosi’s ever-shifting explanation of what she knew about waterboarding. Those who screamed bloody murder about Jack Abramoff’s crimes avert their eyes from John Murtha. The anti-war movement that opposed the surge in Iraq remains silent about sending additional troops to Afghanistan. Obama will never get as much grief for his gay-marriage views as Miss California (Carrie Prejean)."

With King Hussein, It’s not about policies, politics, or even principles. It’s about acquiring and keeping power, always has, always will. Which is why if he and his buddies continue to overreach, he will be stripped of what he craves most: power. (HT NRO):

More Americans are waking up to this as well. They know that the federal government bungles big projects, like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Amtrak, TARP, Social Security, the Post Office, and Cash For Clunkers.

They know that King Hussein and his czars have too much authority and that it's unconstitutional. They also know that King Hussein is governing against the will of the American People. Polls like Gallup and Rasmussen have shown repeatedly that, while the status quo is unacceptable, so is the health care program that Obama and the Democrats are offering.

Americans aren't stupid. They will fight to protect their country, even against their own president.

What The SEIU Is Up To Now

King Hussein's purple shirts at the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), are about three things, acquiring more political power, expand their bureaucracy, and increase their membership ranks, which means they'll be able to collect more union dues.

Their latest plot toward achieving their aim is to try and unionize in-home caregivers.

The Chicago Tribune reported the story of Kathy Keith who "has cared for a son with Down syndrome for 23 years and never dreamed that one day organized labor would consider her a prime candidate for a union card.

So she was skeptical when representatives from two of the nation’s largest unions began competing for her attention over the last few weeks with unannounced visits to her home, mailings and phone messages promising to fatten her state stipend.

The Bartlett resident is among about 3,000 people who receive state funding to assist someone at home with a developmental disability. As a result of an executive order signed by Gov. Pat Quinn in June that allows collective bargaining by “individual providers of home-based support services,” unions are now trying to sign them up in an unusual effort to boost membership.

The move has left some care providers angry and confused. Many are mothers, fathers or close relatives who are caring for loved ones, advocates say.

“Are you saying I can go on strike and not wipe my son’s rear end?” Keith said, questioning if union membership would pit her interests against her son’s.

Soon, she and others expect to receive ballots by mail that ask them to join the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) or the Service Employees International Union(SEIU). Or they may vote against representation.

Caregivers who vote against joining a union or don’t vote at all would get to choose whether to become members if SEIU or AFSCME receives the most votes, but even if they decline to join, they will have to pay “fair share” dues, according to union representatives."

So the SEIU wants to confiscate the money of private citizens, in the form of union dues, so they can expand and advance their agenda. Money that's currently going towards caring for their loved ones. How did this come about? One Illinois citizen has the answer.

"Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn announced the closure of Howe, a huge State Operated Development Center (SODC) in Tinley Park, IL. Dozens of disabled people have died over the past few years because of horrendous care, and it lost its Medicaid certification (and the associated Federal funds). It was a huge cash drain on the state, and the closure is one of the few smart decisions Gov. Quinn has made. The Arc of Illinois (and most other state Arcs) advocates for the closure of these huge impersonal institutions, and instead our desire is for people to move into smaller group homes (4-6 people each) in the community. The closure of Howe was strongly opposed by SEIU because they have organized a large portion of the workers at Howe and other SODCs in the state. To appease SEIU over the closure of Howe, Gov. Quinn signed an executive order that allows SEIU to approach and attempt to organize people who live in their own homes and take care of family members. If they vote no, but the union drive is successful, these family members will be forced to pay the union dues anyway, taking away from the funds they desperately need to help pay for their loved ones’ care. Though I’m not to this point yet with my son, the thought of SEIU thugs coming to my home unannounced in an effort to convince me to join the union is creepy and disgraceful.”

Some citizens, like Pam Harris are fighting back. Here's her story:

Pam Harris of Western Springs said she will vote against joining a union and is angry over what she calls “strong-arm tactics.” She worries about what will happen if she is forced to join a union as a caregiver for her son, Josh, 20, who has a rare genetic syndrome that causes cognitive and physical disabilities.

“I need that money for my son,” said Harris, who spends $1,400 a month on medical insurance for her son.

Organizers showed up at her doorstep on a recent Sunday morning, she said.

“I am not an employee of the state,” Harris said. “I work from my home. I don’t want the union in my home. I can Norma Rae with the rest of them.”

The Obama Administration has emboldened unions to aggressively swell their ranks and to intimidate and confiscate if necessary. The purple shirts, in this case, must be opposed and beat back. (HT Michelle Malkin & Chicago Tribune):

Sarah Palin's Impact On Obamacare

By now people in the know have heard and read about Sarah Palin sounding off on Obamacare. In her 8/21/09 Facebook post, No Health Care Reform Without Legal Reform, she states that " we cannot have health care reform without tort reform. The two are intertwined. For example, one supposed justification for socialized medicine is the high cost of health care. As Dr. Scott Gottlieb recently noted, “If Mr. Obama is serious about lowering costs, he'll need to reform the economic structures in medicine—especially programs like Medicare.” Two examples of these “economic structures” are high malpractice insurance premiums foisted on physicians (and ultimately passed on to consumers as “high health care costs”) and the billions wasted on defensive medicine."

In other words look at what the root causes of high costs, then take steps to eliminate them. Gov. Palin goes further, citing that "Dr. Stuart Weinstein, with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, recently explained the problem:

”The medical liability crisis has had many unintended consequences, most notably a decrease in access to care in a growing number of states and an increase in healthcare costs. Access is affected as physicians move their practices to states with lower liability rates and change their practice patterns to reduce or eliminate high-risk services. When one considers that half of all neurosurgeons—as well as one third of all orthopedic surgeons, one third of all emergency physicians, and one third of all trauma surgeons—are sued each year, is it any wonder that 70 percent of emergency departments are at risk because they lack available on-call specialist coverage?”

Dr. Weinstein makes good points, points completely ignored by President Obama. Dr. Weinstein details the costs that our out-of-control tort system are causing the health care industry and notes research that “found that liability reforms could reduce defensive medicine practices, leading to a 5 percent to 9 percent reduction in medical expenditures without any effect on mortality or medical complications."

A case study where tort reform works is in Texas. "Texas enacted caps and found that one county’s medical malpractice claims dropped 41 percent, and another study found a “55 percent decline” after reform measures were passed. That’s one step in health care reform. Limiting lawyer contingency fees, as is done under the Federal Tort Claims Act, is another step.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry noted that, after his state enacted tort reform measures, the number of doctors applying to practice medicine in Texas “skyrocketed by 57 percent” and that the tort reforms “brought critical specialties to underserved areas.” These are real reforms that actually improve access to health care."

On August 27th, The Washington Times came out with a piece showing where Democrats are on Tort Reform. At a Town Hall meeting held by Rep. James P. Moran (D-VA), Howard Dean said the following:

DEAN: When you go to pass an enormous bill like that, the more stuff you put in it, the more enemies you make. The reason that tort reform is not in the bill is because the people who wrote it did not want to take on the trial lawyers in addition to everybody else they were taking on, and that is the plain and simple truth.... This bill has enough enemies. The more groups you take on, the more enemies you make.

There you have it. The Democrats won't take on the trial lawyers. Could it be because, if you follow the money, 95 percent of their federal campaign donations in virtually every election cycle -- to the Democrats who are writing the bills?

"Mollycoddling of lawyers is legislative malpractice. In state after state that has tried medical malpractice reform -- there are 25 in all -- costs have gone down, the number of doctors settling in the state has gone up, and patient services have improved. As far back as 2003, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services reported that high litigation costs contributed to declines in health care quality. In 2007, researchers Jonathan Klick of Florida State University and Thomas Stratmann of George Mason University reported that malpractice reforms also appear to have a substantial, beneficial effect on historically underserved populations -- for instance, by cutting black infant mortality rates by 6 percent."

Would-be reformers who refuse to stop lawsuit abuse give lie to their claims to be putting patients first. Mr. Dean's candor should awaken congressional Democrats. It was already wakened Americans. The same Americans who trust government to fix healthcare about as much as they trust them to fix the post office, Amtrak, and cash for clunkers. Obamacare Update

Now that the August recess is over, Senate versions of Healthcare overhaul are starting to pop up. One proposal, brokered by Sen. Max Baucus, (D-MT) proposes mandatory health insurance coverage (Just as auto coverage is now mandatory in nearly all states), with subsequent fines if people fail to purchase coverage.

Fines would "start at $750 a year for individuals and $1,500 for families. Households making more than three times the federal poverty level — about $66,000 for a family of four — would face the maximum fines. For families, it would be $3,800, and for individuals, $950."

This has King Hussein on the verge of breaking yet another campaign promise. As a candidate, he campaigned hard against making health insurance a requirement, and fining people for not getting it. "Punishing families who can't afford health care to begin with just doesn't make sense," he said during his party's primaries. At the time, he proposed mandatory insurance only for children.

The August recess did have an impact. "Rep. Mike Ross, D-Ark., who once supported a public option, said Tuesday that after hearing from constituents during the August recess, he's changed his mind. "If House leadership presents a final bill that contains a government-run public option, I will oppose it," Ross said."

Americans must continue to push back against the overreaching of the White House, and the Democrat controlled congress. Then on November 2, 2010, we can reverse course and get things flowing in a positive direction, in spite of King Hussein.(HT Associated Depressed):
